The first wines Pera Doce, were born in 2006, between plains as far as the eyes can see, with hot and dry summers, and rainy winters.

We are talking about around 250 hectares of vineyards, planted in the biggest region production in Portugal, the Alentejo, that contribute to the quality seal of a wine for every day.

Alentejo is the largest wine region in Portugal and also one of the most diverse, covering eigth sub-regions: Portalegre, Borba, Redondo, Reguengos, Évora, Vidigueira, Moura e Granja-Amareleja.

It's 22 000 hectares of vineyards spread across plains, hills and mountains (S. Mamede, Ossa e Mendro are the main ones) and are composed of different types of soil: clay, limestone, marble, sand, schist and granite.

The climate is continental Mediterranean with greater temperature ranges in the interior regions, closer to the border with Spain.

The Alentejo vineyards reflects a wide range of grape varieties, with greater evidence of white grapes Antão Vaz, Roupeiro e Arinto and the red Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional e Syrah.

Pêra Doce has been part of the Celebrations for over 15 years.

The Alentejo regional wine leader in value, in the offtrade channel, annually exceeds 5 million bottles sold. This wine has been made for every day, for 15 years, always handmade, with the best quality/price relation.

During these 15 years, the brand has reinvented itself and adapted to consumer preferences, without forgetting its roots and values.

In addition to consumers, the quality of Pêra Doce has been recognized by critics, winning awards in prestigious internacional competitions in this setor, with gold medals in competitions such Mundus Vini, Berliner Wine Trophy or Seléctions Mondiales des Vins.

This year, the reference Pêra Doce Premium, red wine, received 91 points and the distinction "Editor's Choice" in the renowned North American magazine Wine Enthusiast.
